Anastacia returns to music with first new album in five years
By Sam Rigby
Anastacia has announced details of her first album of original material in five years.
The singer will release Resurrection – the sixth studio album of her career to date – on Monday, May 5.
The record features her brand new single Stupid Little Things, as well as nine other new tracks. The deluxe edition of the album will feature four additional tracks.
“Writing songs helps pull you past the dark moments,” Anastacia said. “Just being able to speak my story is a great help. Stupid Little Things is about trying not to over think everything to make it much bigger than it is. For me it’s about: don’t focus on the small stuff!”
The album will be Anastacia’s first since revealing that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time last year. She released a covers collected, It’s a Man’s World, in 2012.
The Welcome To My Truth singer is now back to full health and ready to return to music.
