Belinda Carlisle on Eurovision rumours: ‘I would never do that’

Belinda Carlisle has scotched rumours that she is representing the UK at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The In Too Deep singer tweeted earlier today (February 27): “NO EUROVISION – i swear it’s a rumor. i would never do that….and i’m saying that respectfully.”
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark on May 10. Former X Factor contestant Ruth Lorenzo will represent Spain after winning a singing contest on Spanish TV – click here to read our Eurovision chat with Ruth.
Meanwhile, it has also been rumoured that Geri Halliwell is being lined up as this year’s UK Eurovision entrant.
Belinda Carlisle will release a new CD/DVD ‘Best Of’ package called The Collection on March 17, which features two new songs, Sun, a single last year, and Goodbye Just Go. She embarks on a six-date UK tour this May.
