Big Brother: Andy breaks down in tears as boyfriend proposes during surprise visit
The sound of wedding bell rang out across the Big Brother house this weekend as Andy West’s boyfriend Ed popped the question during a surprise visit to the infamous Elstree compound.
The couple enjoyed a romantic dinner for two in the garden when Andy asked his partner: “Will you marry me?”
Ed replied “Yes baby”, before adding “I can do one better” and pulling out a ring.
Andy could only muster an “Oh my god”, before breaking down in tears as he doubled over.
“Grey and old, baby,” said Ed as he put the ring on his husband-to-be’s finger.
Andy, who left his post as a BBC reporter earlier this year after becoming embroiled in a row over homophobic comments made by Sports Personality of the Year nominee Tyson Fury, then tells Ed: “I’m so lucky, I knew it before but being in here… I can’t live without you.”
