British clothing brand Grenfell launch new Bluebird collection
By Nick Byam
Grenfell have just revealed their latest collection, which owes its inspiration to the brand’s long association with the land and waterspeed family, the Campbells.
The inaugural Grenfell Bluebird collection is comprised of 12 pieces, inspired by original items created using Grenfell cloth worn by ‘King of Speed’ Sir Malcolm Campbell; a gentleman and racer who was not only celebrated for his records on land and water but also admired for his sartorial style and natural ease in front of the camera.
Manufactured at the brand’s own factory in East London, the collection features Grenfell’s proprietary cloth in Bluebird Blue – a 600 thread count cotton gabardine created to be virtually impervious to water as the fibers lock together when wet.
Key selects include the Car Coat and the Record Suit, both of which come in Bluebird blue and the Long Bomber jacket.
You can shop the collection now over at grenfell.com.
