Courtney Love: ‘Linda Perry says I’m a power bottom’
By Josh Haggis
Courtney Love has opened up about her lesbian sexual experiences in a new interview.
During the interview, the Hole frontwoman discussed her friendship with songwriter Linda Perry, who’s written hits for the likes of Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera, and said that Perry likes to taunt her about her occasional same-sex encounters.
“[Linda] told me: ‘You’re not a top, you’re a power bottom. Just own it. All this heterosexual stuff is nonsense,” Love recalled in an interview with The Guardian.
Love went on to discuss her latest sexual experience with a woman, saying: “I won’t tell you who she is, because she’s public. She’s a little bi, mostly lesbian. We took Molly [MDMA], but it didn’t work. I still went on with the show though!”
Love begins an eight-date sold-out UK solo tour tomorrow in London (May 11). The 49-year-old embarked on a US solo tour last summer, but hasn’t played live in the UK since Hole’s 2010 dates in support of the Nobody’s Daughter album.
