For the second half of 2013, Cyndi Lauper toured the US, Canada, Australia and Japan, celebrating the 30th anniversary of her 1983 breakthrough debut album She’s So Unusual, and now to cap it all off, she’s re-released the album itself, with a few bonus treats.

The new deluxe edition features the full original album, with favourites like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Time After Time, and When You Were Mine, as well as a number of remixes, original demos, work in progress takes, and archive live recordings.

She’s So Unusual was the album that made Lauper a star, and 30 years on, she continues to create new work that entertains and inspires – and of course, she is a true friend of the LGBT community, and an icon for everyone who has ever felt a little bit unusual.
