Eurovision hopeful Molly announces single, London show

The UK’s Eurovision representative Molly is to release her debut single Children of the Universe on April 28, following a performance at London’s London’s Café De Paris on April 13.
Children of the Universe is the first UK entry to be entirely self-written by the performing artist since Katrina and the Waves triumphed in 1997 with Walking on Sunshine.
Discussing the song, 27-year-old Molly said in a press statement: “As it says, I believe that we’re all important in some way, and that we all have a part to play in something bigger. We just have to follow our heart and our instinct and see what happens.”
She also explained her reasons for taking part in the annual song contest, saying: “I want to change preconceptions of Eurovision and make people who think it isn’t cool to think, ‘this is actually quite good’. And I want the people of the UK to be proud of me. But Eurovision is part of my journey: it’s not the journey itself.”
In addition to the original version, there will also be a remix of Molly’s Eurovision song by Secaina Hudson, who’s previously remixed tracks from the likes of Katy Perry and James Blake.
The Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark on May 10.
