G-Star Raw for The Oceans with Pharrell Williams

G-Star Raw and music mogul Pharrell have come up with an eco-minded collaboration in G-Star Raw for the Oceans. The collection includes everything from jeans, A-crotch trench coats, jumpsuits and caps, all made using ‘Bionic Yarn’ – a fabric made from plastics recovered from the world’s oceans.

“I have a connection with the ocean, it yields so much life including our own, so we owe it,” says Pharrell, who also serves as the Creative Director of Bionic Yarn.  This summer the second wave of product will hit shops – you can shop the collection online at g-star.com.

They have also produced a documentary, Plastic Age, to highlight the issue of discarded ocean plastics:
