Gary Barlow sent topless photos to gay music boss

Gary Barlow sent topless photos of himself to music bosses in an attempt to kickstart his career.
The singer sent a photo, alongside his demo, to gay music boss Nigel Martin-Smith, who gave him the opportunity to join Take That.
James Corden will discuss Barlow’s tactics in the forthcoming BBC documentary When Corden Met Barlow.
Nigel Martin-Smith said of the topless photo: “It looks like Annie Lennox but I knew he could be hot property.”
He added that he knew Barlow would become a crucial part of his new boyband when he received the demo and photo back in 1990.
“How could I refuse?” he said.
