A 16-year-old boy from Norwich has said he has been overwhelmed by messages of support after he wore a dress to prom.
Korben turned up to his high school prom at Archbishop Sancroft High School in Harleston in a glittery red sequin tuxedo dress to cheers from his fellow pupils and teachers. After images were shared online he was swarmed with messages hailing him as an inspiration.
The BBC quotes Korben as saying of the reaction: “To be called an inspirational person is everything I could ask for. All the comments have been really, really lovely – and I’ve loved having the opportunity to show people you can express yourself. I’ve loved it. I’m going to cherish it forever.”
On Twitter Korben, who goes by the name Miss Frou Frou as a drag queen added: “I cannot thank everyone enough for the love and support – it means so much. I am so grateful, fortunate and blessed!”

“Four years later we made it happen. I’m so incredibly #proud of him for being true to himself & the reception he got from his whole school was incredible,” she added before asking what Drag Race‘s Michelle Visage and Pose‘s Billy Porter thought of it.
