Jennifer Aniston to play first gay female US President in Netflix’s ‘First Ladies’
If only this were real life.

Jennifer Aniston is set to help restore some credibility to the Oval Office as the United States’ first gay female President in new Netflix film First Ladies.
The former Friends actress will play the POTUS in the new political comedy from comedian Tig Notaro, who will also star as Aniston’s First Lady.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, First Ladies “promises to show that behind every great woman is another great woman”.

While the US is yet to elect its first female President, American television does have a long tradition of portraying female Commanders in Chief onscreen. However, Aniston’s charatcer could well be the first time the US President has been portrayed as openly gay.
First Ladies is currently being written by both Notaro and Stephanie Allynne (Twin Peaks), and while there’s no word on when to expect it on screen, it’s safe to say this is one film we won’t be missing…
