Kate Bush sells out 22 London shows in under 15 minutes

Kate Bush’s 22-date London residency has sold out in less than 15 minutes.

Tickets for the shows at the 5,000-capacity Eventim Apollo this August, September and October went on sale at 9.30am this morning (March 28) and are now completely sold out.

Reacting to the sell-out, Bush said in a press release: “I’m completely overwhelmed by the response to the shows. Thank you so much to everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all later this year.”

Bush’s London residency begins on August 26 and concludes on October 1. She originally announced 15 dates last Friday (March 21) before adding seven more shows earlier this week (March 26) following “massive pre-sale demand”.

Bush’s only previous tour took place in 1979 and took in dates across Europe before ending with three shows at the Eventim Apollo – which was then called the Hammersmith Odeon.

She released her tenth and most recent studio album, 50 Words for Snow, in 2011.
