Katy Perry: ‘No. I’m not on Tinder… what’s Scruff?’
By Nick Levine
Katy Perry has denied she is on dating app Tinder – but appears to be pretty up-to-speed with gay dating apps Grindr and Scruff.
Earlier this year it was reported that the Teenage Dream singer had been swiping right and left on Tinder – but now Perry, 29, has insisted she only plays with the app over a friend’s shoulder.
“No. I’m not on Tinder,” she told our friends at Time Out. “One of my good girlfriends is on Tinder and sometimes after we’re done gabbing about everything we’ll just scroll throughout it. I’ve only gone on it with one of my girlfriends who uses it to just sideswipe people.”
Perry proceeded to ask if the UK has Tinder now, to which the interviewer replied yes – and pointed out that we Brits have Grindr too. “That’s always been there,” Perry noted, accurately.
The interviewer then brought up Scruff, to which Perry replied: “What’s that? For men with beards? Hairier men? Well, you know, keeping us all connected in 2014.”
Perry brought ‘The Prismatic World Tour’ to London last night (May 27) and Attitude was – click here for our review of the show.
