Kylie’s ‘Into the Blue’ misses out on UK top ten spot
By Nick Levine
Kylie Minogue’s new single Into the Blue has failed to debut inside the top ten on the UK’s Official Singles Chart.
Into the Blue, the lead single from the singer’s twelfth album Kiss Me Once, has to settle for a number twelve debut today (March 16).
Unless it climbs, it will be the first lead single from a Kylie album to miss the top ten since Some Kind Of Bliss from 1997’s Impossible Princess, which stalled at number 22 on the singles chart.
Dance track Tsunami by Dvbbs and Bourgeous, which features Tinie Tempah, debuts at number one this week, while Enrique Iglesias enters at four with I’m A Freak and Pixie Lott also cracks the top ten, bowing at nine with Nasty.
Over on the UK’s Official Albums Chart, Paloma Faith is denied her first number one album by Elbow. The Manchester band rocket to the top spot with The Take Off And Landing of Everything, forcing Faith to settle for a second place debut with her third album A Perfect Contradiction.
