Lady Gaga and Elton John launch new joint clothing line
By Ben Kelly
They’ve collaborated on stage quite a few times now, but this is the first time Lady Gaga and Elton John have joined forces for a clothing line.
The pair have co-designed a range called Love Bravery, which will be sold exclusively at Macy’s in the US and will include shirts, sweats, outerwear, clutches, backpacks, scarves, beanies, keychains and pins.
It was created in collaboration with Gaga’s sister Natali Germanotta, and her stylist Brandon Maxwell.
The style of the items reflect the personalities of both pop superstars, with many piano-patterned items included.
25% of the profits of the range will benefit Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, and Elton John’s AIDS Foundation.
In a statement, Lady Gaga said, “We need to make the world a kinder and braver place where men and women everywhere are empowered to live with compassion.”
Elton John added, “I love the idea of fusing who you are on the inside — your passions and dreams — with what you wear on the outside.”
The pair are expected to have collaborated on Lady Gaga’s forthcoming fifth studio album, which Elton has already raved about to the media.
Love Bravery will be sold exclusively at Macy’s starting through to August 30.
