Lily Allen announces comeback gig for later this month
By Josh Haggis
Lily Allen has announced a special one-off show in London this April to celebrate the launch of her new album Sheezus.
The gig will take place at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on April 28 – and will be the singer’s first headline show in four years.
Sheezus – the follow-up to 2009′s It’s Not Me, It’s You – is set to be released on May 5. Lily Allen returned to music late last year when she released the chart-topping John Lewis Christmas single, a cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know.
Her official comeback single Hard Out Here followed soon after and debuted at number nine on the UK charts. Air Balloon, the second single from Sheezus, was released earlier this month (March) and debuted at number seven.
Allen then premiered another new single, Our Time, and the track is available now as a free download for fans who pre-order the album on iTunes.
Tickets for the one-off London show go on sale this Friday (April 4).
