Ella Henderson has unveiled the video for her debut single Ghost – watch it below.
The X Factor alumnus teased fans by releasing a hipster remix of the song earlier this month, but this is the first chance to hear the official single version.
Henderson co-wrote the track, which she describes as “uplifting but dark”, with Ryan Tedder, the frontman of OneRepublic and producer behind hits including Leona Lewis’s Bleeding Love and Beyonce’s Halo.
The 18-year-old singer performed Ghost and three other songs from her upcoming debut album – Glow, Mirror Man and Empire – at a special showcase event in central London last night (April 22).
She also revealed that her album is slated for release in September and has been titled Chapter One. Ghost will be available to download from June.
Henderson finished sixth on The X Factor during the ninth series, after falling into the bottom two with eventual winner James Arthur. She was subsequently signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco.
In addition to Tedder, she has worked with producers including Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse), Eg White (Adele) and TMS (Little Mix) on her album.
