Sinéad O’Connor has released her new single Take Me To Church.
The song is the first release from her upcoming album I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss, which will be released on August 11.
The accompanying artwork for the single sees O’Connor transformed with an auburn wig and leather jacket.
I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss is the singer’s first album since 2011, and will feature Take Me To Church and eleven more new songs.
In a career spanning 25 years, O’Connor has released hit songs like Nothing Compares 2 U and I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got, as well 1987 breakout hit Mandinka.
Last year, O’Connor was embroiled in a war of words with Miley Cyrus, when she expressed concern that the Bangerz star has been exploited by the music industry. Cyrus made mention of O’Connor’s mental health problems in her response.
