This year’s British Eurovision hopeful Molly has unveiled the studio version of her entry song Children of the Universe – listen below.

The up-and-coming singer-songwriter debuted the song during a live performance last month (March), but this is the first chance for Eurovision fans to hear the final recorded version of the UK’s 2014 entry.

Children of the Universe is the first UK entry to be entirely self-written by the performing artist since Katrina and the Waves triumphed in 1997 with Love Shine a Light.

In addition to the original version, there will also be a remix of Molly’s Eurovision song by Secaina Hudson, who’s previously remixed tracks from the likes of Katy Perry and James Blake.

Discussing the meaning behind the song, 27-year-old Molly said recently: “As it says, I believe that we’re all important in some way, and that we all have a part to play in something bigger. We just have to follow our heart and our instinct and see what happens.”

Children of the Universe will be released in the UK on April 28, and Molly will play a one-off gig at London’s Cafe de Paris on April 13 – click here for more details.

The Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark on May 10.
