Madonna, Katy Perry unite for joint photo shoot

Madonna and Katy Perry have teamed up for a joint photo shoot – and perhaps more.

Earlier today (May 19) Perry shared a picture of herself on Instagram in which she is seen reaching out towards another woman’s leg. “Katy Perry… and guess who?” the picture says. “V Magazine Memorial Day Summer 2014.”

Memorial Day is a US public holiday that falls this year on May 26 – a week today.

Perry’s accompanying caption read: “Mmmmm my baby’s got a secret…” – a not-so-subtle reference to Madonna’s 1994 single Secret.

Soon afterwards, Madonna shared a picture of herself on Instagram that is very obviously the matching partner of Perry’s.

Madonna’s caption reads: “V magazine got me like…..,………Kneel down for what??????? @vmagazine This week. #artforfreedom #unapologeticbitch.”

Madonna has used the #unapologeticbitch hashtag frequently in recent weeks, leading fans to speculate that it could be the title of a track from her new album or possibly even her next single.

Earlier this year Perry spent a month guest-curating Madonna’s Art For Freedom initiative, and among Perry’s selections were a series of videos spotlighting the violence and discrimination currently faced by LGBT people in Russia.
