Miley begins ‘Bangerz Tour’ by sliding down giant tongue

Miley Cyrus kicked off her eagerly-anticipated Bangerz Tour in Vancouver, Canada last night (February 14).

The pop minx, who gave an exclusive gay interview to Attitude last year (2013), made her entrance on stage by sliding down a giant tongue that emerged from a massive projection of her own winking face. Watch fan footage of Miley’s memorable entrance below.

Other highlights from the show included the sight of Miley riding a giant hotdog, being stalked by an oversized orange puppet, straddling the bonnet of a life-size gold toy car and, perhaps inevitably, crouching down on all fours to show off her twerking skills.

Her 20-song setlist included recent number one hits Wrecking Ball and We Can’t Stop, her classic summer jam Party In The USA and a rendition of Attitude HQ favourite SMS (Bangerz). There was also an unplugged section featuring covers of Dolly Parton’s Jolene and Outkast’s Hey Ya!.

Miley’s Bangerz Tour will now travel around North America before arriving in Europe in May – including seven UK and Ireland dates from May 6-20.
