MKS: ‘We’ve been getting hate mail over album delay’
By Josh Haggis
Mutya Keisha Siobhan (MKS) have revealed that they have some “great news” to share about their upcoming album.
The reunited Sugababes released their comeback single Flatline last September (2013) – but there has been no sign of a follow-up single or album announcement.
Speaking to NME regarding the long-delayed album, band member Siobhan Donaghy said: “We have an announcement coming shortly. I can’t tell you, but it’s great news.”
She continued: “It’s been majorly frustrating – we’ve literally been starting to get a bit of hate mail about it. The album’s been finished for a long time. It’s fantastic.”
Despite the lack of new music, the band have been keeping themselves in the public eye, and recently performed a duet with indie band Metronomy at the 2014 NME Awards.
The trio were also seen back in the studio with Flatline producer Dev Hynes.
