One Direction, Katy Perry to play Radio 1’s Big Weekend

Radio 1 have announced the next batch of acts who will be performing at its Big Weekend bash in Glasgow.

One Direction will open the Main Stage on Saturday – with performances to follow from acts including Lily Allen, Bastille, Tinie Tempah and The Vamps.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry has been announced as the headline act on the Main Stage for Sunday night, with Coldplay previously confirmed to headline the Main Stage on Saturday night.

Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora and Paolo Nutini will also perform on the Main Stage on Sunday.

Radio 1’s Big Weekend will take place from May 24-25 at Glasgow Green. Highlights from the Big Weekend will be broadcast on BBC Three, as well as streamed across Radio 1, 1Xtra and online.
