Personal trainer Ed Harbourne strips off for Attitude’s active shoot

By Ben Kelly

London-based personal trainer Ed Harbourne strips off in the latest issue of Attitude, and chats about how he got his impressive physique.

30-year-old Ed is a personal trainer and transformation coach. He has lived in the capital for the last 23 years and splits his time between the Soho Hotel and Fitness First Oxford Circus.

He describes his weekly work out routines, and what he eats on a daily basis to help keep his body healthy.

Asked whether anyone could have a body like his, Ed says, “Of course. The difference is you have to WANT to do it and normally the only way to want to change is when you have gone through emotional pain or something triggers your brain to make you focus on changing your lifestyle and body.”

He also claims a lot of his clients sometimes just want a bit of a chat.

“Clients kind of treat you a bit like a counsellor at times,” he says. “A lot of the time people just want an hour to talk to someone.”

Ed’s full shoot is available inside the current May issue of Attitude, featuring Michael Sam on the cover. Sam, who was the first gay man to be drafted to the NFL, opens up about coming out, and experiencing homophobia and racism.
