Prince not playing Glastonbury 2014, say organisers
By Sam Rigby
Prince is not playing this year’s Glastonbury Festival, according to organisers.
Emily Eavis told BBC Radio 6 Music that although they hope to secure the Breakfast Can Wait singer in the future, he definitely will not be performing at Worthy Farm this summer.
Speculation over Prince’s appearance has mounted over the last few weeks following his Hit and Run shows in the UK in February.
Prince and his band 3RDEYEGIRL played a series of pop-up shows in London and Manchester, and also appeared at the Brit Awards on February 19.
Arcade Fire are the only headliners confirmed for Glastonbury 2014, while Dolly Parton’s appearance was confirmed last week.
Lily Allen, Disclosure, Blondie and Warpaint have also been added to the line-up.
