Producer and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder has talked about his work on Adele’s eagerly-anticipated follow-up to 21 – and admitted he has “no idea” when the album will be released.

Tedder previously worked with Adele on her blockbuster album 21, producing the track Rumour Has It which went on to be covered on Glee.

Speaking to MSN Music about his work on the singer’s new album, Tedder said: “I haven’t heard everything she’s done, but I’ve heard everything we’ve done [together] and I’m as proud of it, or prouder of anything we did on the first album, and she is sounding even better than ever.”

He continued: “She will deliver the album on her own timetable, at her own pace, and the only person that will ever declare it finished will be her, when she decides it’s finished.”

Prompted about when the album might be released, Tedder replied: “Oh my god, you know, I could probably guess when Christ is going to return more accurately than when that album will come out. And that doesn’t mean it’s going to be a while, it just means I have no idea.”

Adele released her second album 21 in 2011 and it went on to become a global phenomenon, selling over 30 million copies worldwide and spawning the smash hit singles Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You.
