Rachel Stevens: ‘I never hear my solo songs on the radio’
By Sam Rigby
Rachel Stevens has admitted that she is disappointed that her solo material hasn’t lived on.
The S Club 7 singer released two solo albums in 2003 and 2005, and scored five top ten hits in the UK. Her second album, Come And Get It, is acknowledged as something of a lost pop classic.
Despite releasing hits like Sweet Dreams My LA Ex, Some Girls and I Said Never Again (But Here We Are), Stevens said that she never hears her solo work on the radio any more.
Speaking to Metro, she said: “I really enjoyed doing it but it is never played on the radio.”
Last week, Stevens discussed the possibility of an S Club 7 reunion, saying: “Obviously it hasn’t happened yet because I think getting seven diaries together is really difficult. Everyone’s off doing their own thing, but it would be fun.”
Meanwhile, her former bandmate Jon Lee shared a buff selfie last week, as well as a surprisingly impressive bum shot.
