Sky Ferreira has revealed that she and her band (pictured, in front of Moscow’s Saint Basil’s Cathedral) have been called “faggots” while on tour in Russia.
The US pop singer, 21, has been opening for her friend Miley Cyrus on the infamous ‘Bangerz Tour’ this year, and supported the Wrecking Ball star at several UK dates which took place last month (May).
Last night (June 3) Ferreira played her own headline show at the Ivestia Hall venue in Russia’s capital city of Moscow – but said on Twitter earlier today that her experiences there have been far from idyllic.
Ferreira, 21, from Los Angeles, is due in the UK this Saturday (June 7) for a performance at hipster music festival Field Day in London’s Victoria Park.
She released her critically-acclaimed debut album, Night Time, My Time, in the UK in March and has recently released a video for its latest single, I Blame Myself.
