Sky Ferreira defends Miley: ‘No one’s telling her what to do’
Sky Ferreira has spoken out in defence of Miley Cyrus.
The cult pop singer, who has been supporting Cyrus on the US leg of her ‘Bangerz Tour’, insisted that the controversial star is in total control of what she is doing.
Speaking to Buzzfeed, Ferreira said: “People think there are people telling Miley to do something, about her sexuality.
“They don’t realise that she knows what she wants to do, and she does it. Pop music is provocative — I don’t really see what the big deal over it is.”
Ferreira then went on to praise Cyrus’ vocal talents, saying: “I really like when she does the acoustic set [in her show]. I think that’s kind of the biggest f*ck-you to everyone who’s talked shit about her, because she has a really great voice. The whole show kind of shows everyone up. No one can deny it.”
The UK and Ireland leg of the ‘Bangerz Tour’ begins on May 6, and includes shows in London, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Belfast and Dublin.
