Watch: 100 years of male beauty in one minute

Just in time for Movember, Cut.com have given us a peek at how men’s hair and facial hair trends have evolved in the last century – all in a one-minute clip.

Model and musician Samuel Orson hopped on a barber’s chair for the video and pulled off every single ‘do, though we’re a little sad we don’t see more of his bod between each look.

There’s no shortage of ‘staches and slicked back hair in the video, but our favourite look has got to be the 1940s sailor style, and it seems like several others are in the same boat. One YouTube commenter took the words out of our mouths: “HOT DAMN.”

As for current trends, the messy man bun has overtaken he undercut to become the ‘do of the decade. The man bun can be pretty polarising, but we’re totes sold on Samuel’s version.
