Watch Tori Amos cover Madonna’s ‘Frozen’
Tori Amos covered Madonna’s iconic hit Frozen while performing in Amsterdam last night (May 29).
Playing at the Dutch city’s Concertgebouw venue, Amos surprised fans by tackling the Queen of Pop’s epic 1998 ballad midway through her set – the first time, it is believed, that she has ever performed the Madge classic live.
In a fan-recorded clip, Amos can be seen singing a stripped down version of the song accompanied solely by her own keyboard chords. Watch below.
Amos, 50, is currently touring Europe in support of her most recent album, Unrepentant Geraldines, which reached number 13 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart earlier this month (May).
Amos’s Amsterdam setlist also included a cover of Don McLean’s Vincent, alongside tracks from her new album and several of her signature songs, including Little Earthquakes, Cornflake Girl and Winter.
Madonna’s Frozen was originally released in 1998 and reached number one on the UK’s Official Singles Chart. It is taken from her seventh studio album: the genre-defining electro-pop record Ray of Light.
