Watch video for Molly’s UK Eurovision entry
The UK’s Eurovision hopeful Molly has unveiled the video for Children of the Universe, the song she will be taking to Copenhagen next month (May).
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter, full name Molly Smitten-Downes, will follow in the footsteps of Bonnie Tyler, Engelbert Humperdinck and Daz Sampson when she represents the UK at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
“The message is don’t forget your worth. Don’t forget how powerful you are,” Molly said of the song, which she wrote herself. “I think every human being on this planet is so powerful that we have no idea actually. We forget just how powerful we are.”
Continuing, Molly added: “It’s about being in the a dark place and forgetting that and feeling that you don’t have much of an impact and then realising you are integral to everything.”
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 10 in the Danish capital.
