Woolmark Prize winner Public School, exclusively at Harvey Nichols

By Joseph Kocharian

International Woolmark Prize winners Public School (along with M.Patmos) will be exclusively launching their merino wool capsule collections in store at Harvey Nichols.

Public School’s designers, New Yorkers Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, went for a dystopian theme to their collection – imagining a story of a lost tribe surviving through their relationship and coexistence with wool. It’s a mix of streetwear and sportswear, reflecting the contemporary urban culture of their home in the Big Apple.

The Woomark Company is a not-for-profit enterprise owned by more than 25,000 wool growers that invests in research, development and marketing along with the worldwide supply chain for Australian wool. The Woolmark Prize challenges rising fashion designers to be innovative with wool, encouraging the use of natural product. Public School have definitely been creative with their merino wool – as you can see below. There are plenty of thinner pieces to keep you heated without over laying – after all, not everyone wants a chunky knit.

The Public school collection is available exclusively to Harvey Nichols from today (29th September) with a collection of woollen leggings, sweaters and vests.
