Years & Years’ debut album Communion tops album charts
By Micah Sulit
Just a week since its release, Years & Years’ debut album Communion has shot straight to the top of the charts – outselling the rest of the top five albums combined.
Communion debuted on the UK Top 40 Albums at number one, overtaking Ed Sheeran’s x, James Bay’s Chaos and the Calm, Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour and Taylor Swift’s 1989, in that order.
Years & Years are clearly on a winning streak in 2015, and wasted no time thanking their fans on social media for this latest milestone. “THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF ALL OUR LIVES,” the electro-pop trio wrote.

It was quite an exhilarating birthday present too for lead singer Olly Alexander, who turned 25 earlier this week. We’ve taken to calling Olly our new favourite gay pop star; he also gave Attitude a lovely in-depth interview earlier this year.
