Drag Race star makes surprise cameo in American Horror Story finale
By Will Stroude
Just when you thought American Horror Story couldn’t get any camper.
The sixth season of the horro anthology series came to end end in typically dramatic fashion this week, but not before a much-loved RuPaul’s Drag Race star made an unexpected cameo.
Viewers will be familiar with this season’s show-within-a-show set-up, and in this week’s episode Trixie Mattel and Edward Hansen – real life co-hosts of World of Wonder’s AHS after-show – were revealed as its hosts.
Trixie, who placed sixth on season seven of the drag competition last year, has long been a fan of American Horror Story, and reportedly appeared at the request of her own fans – series creator Ryan Murphy, no less.

Obviously, the real question is whether the next season of American Horror Story will decide to save on the budget and simply air Drag Race season six’s ‘Drag Race Me to Hell’ challenge instead.
