Matilda star Mara Wilson opens up about her sexuality in wake of Orlando shooting
After the recent events that have taken place in the gay night club in Orlando, Matilda star Mara Wilson has taken to Twitter to talk about her sexuality.

Posting a picture of herself 10 years ago, she writes: “the LGBTQ community has always felt like home, especially a few years later when I, uh, learned something about myself.”
After fans started to ask questions to get a clearer understanding of what she meant, the 28-year-old, who appeared in films including Mrs Doubtfire and Miracle on 34th Street as a child, used the Kinsey scale (the heterosexual-homosexual rating scale) to clarify, stating she was a ‘2’.
According to the scale, this means that she mainly identifies as heterosexual ‘but more than incidentally homosexual’.
However, one fan then took to Twitter to say that she was annoyed that Wilson didn’t just say she was bisexual, accusing the star of ‘bi-erasure’.
Wilson replied: “I said I *used* to identify as mostly straight. I’ve embraced the Bi/Queer label lately”.

Wilson ended the Tweets by saying: “Your support is much appreciated. I will say, though, I’m still gonna be pretty private about my relationships, as I always have been.”
