Nyle DiMarco makes history with Dancing With The Stars’ first ever same-sex dance
Nyle DiMarco wowed the world when he appeared on Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model as the first ever deaf contestant.
Now, the sexually fluid model and actor has wowed the world once more after taking part in the first same-sex dance routine on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, on which he is currently a contestant.
For the Judges’ Team Up Challenge, Bruno Tonioli decided to pair DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd with actress Jodie Sweetin and Keo Motsepe.
While the dancers normally swap partners through the performance, the audience were shocked this time when Keo grabbed DiMarco for a shirtless Argentinian Tango dance where Keo even managed to lift the 28-year-old.
“This is a Dancing With The Stars first, having same-sex dancing,” DiMarco told the cameras.
When asked how it felt to be lifted, DiMarco said: “Well, it’s a different experience. Usually I’m lifting Peta but… should it only be for a woman? Maybe Peeta can lift me at some stage?”
