‘Pose’ has been renewed for a third season after just airing one episode of its second season

Pose has been renewed for a third season after just airing one episode of its second season.
Ryan Murphy’s hit FX series returned to US screens just last week (June 11) and as UK fans eagerly await the arrival of second season, it has been announced to be returning for a third season after just one episode.
John Landgraf, chairman of FX Networks and FX Productions, said in a statement: “Pose has elevated our culture and the TV landscape like few shows before it, and we are honoured to partner with co-creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck, and Steven Canals on a third season.
“Our thanks to the entire creative team, including Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Alexis Martin Woodall, Sherry Marsh, Janet Mock, Our Lady J, Erica Kay, the amazing cast and crew, and everyone at Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions for this incredibly entertaining, enlightening, and ground breaking series.”
The first season, which was set in 1980s New York City, made history for featuring the highest number of trans actors in series regular roles on a TV show.
The second season – which has yet to receive a UK air date – was set in 1990, 18 months after the end of the first season.
Pose – which stars the likes of Billy Porter, Indya Moore, Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson and Evan Peters – follows the underground world of 1980s ball culture, set at the height of the AIDS epidemic.
