George Michael’s ex-lover claims addiction to chemsex drug caused his death
George Michael’s ex-lover, Paul Stag, has claimed that an addiction to chemsex drug liquid G caused his death.
Stag, an escort who claims he dated the singer for nine years, has said he frequently supplied Michael with drugs and believes that Michael’s ‘addiction’ to the drug could have caused his death on Christmas Day last year.
According to the Metro, Stag said, “George was mad on G. He loved it. It is 100 per cent he would have had chemise on Christmas Eve before his death.”
“He was incredibly sexually active and in his mind drugs equalled sex and sex equalled drugs. My belief is he didn’t separate that until the day he died.”
Stag, 48, adds, “I saw him collapse many, many times. He threw up on my bathroom floor and I had to kick him out of my house.”
“My heart never sank when the phone went and it was a request from George. It was 300, 400, 500 times. As and when he wanted. Sometimes it would be twice a week, then nothing for a few weeks because of his work.”
Reports suggest that the pair met through a gay magazine and that he supplied the drugs because he didn’t want the singer to turn to someone “less trustworthy.”
Police are still waiting on toxicology test results.
