Jaden Smith rocks womenswear as he becomes the new face of Louis Vuitton
Jaden Smith has continued to subvert gender norms after being announced as the new face of Louis Vuitton’s new SS16 campaign.
The 17-year-old son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has been shot by Bruce Weber rocking pieces from the designer’s new womenswear range which was debuted at Paris fashion week last year.
Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Womenswear Nicolas Ghesquière showed off the new campaign on his Instagram yesterday (January 4), and we’re loving the jacket and skirt combo Jaden is sporting, not to mention Louis Vuitton’s decision to embrace gender-neutral marketing.
Smith has repeatedly hit the headlines over the last year for his stigma-destroying wardrobe choices, which have included wearing a dress to his own prom.
The young actor and musician notably took to Instagram last April to address the supposed ‘controversy’, writing: “Went to TopShop to buy Girl Clothes, I mean ‘Clothes.'”
Full marks to Jaden and Louis Vuitton – long may it continues…
