Sports therapist Sam strips off for Attitude’s Active shoot
By Ben Kelly
Swedish born sports therapist Samuel Tingman is the Active star in the new, April Issue of Attitude – available to download and in shops now.
As well as modelling, Sam has been training in sports therapy, and works his magic on many a bad back, or pulled hamstring.
“With sports people, I get a lot of footballers with hip issues and handspring problems from the curve in the spine,” he says. “I deal with a lot of limbs!”
But it’s not just the sporty types that he finds in need of some help.
“A lot of people who are sat at their offices come with tight hips because you’re sat down all day,” he says. “I see a lot of people coming in for assessments, just seeing how their posture is. Some people come from their office, and their shoulders are slumped forward with a bit of hypercytosis.”
And, we ask him how one might go about achieving a body as good as his.
“You have to put the work in,” he admits. “I think it’s worth it. I don’t wake up thinking ‘Wow I look good!’ but I think it’s worth the effort. If you want the body you need to work and have patience for it.”
